About Lynne Routsong-Wiechers, LISW
Founder & Owner | Midwest Counseling Centers of Ohio
With over 35 years of experience in behavioral health, Lynne Routsong-Wiechers is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and lifelong Daytonian dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, support, and meaningful direction. Her approach combines strong clinical expertise with compassion and real-world understanding, creating a space where clients feel both supported and confident in the care they are receiving.
Lynne is a graduate of the University of Dayton, where she completed her undergraduate studies, and The Ohio State University, where she earned her Master’s degree. Her educational foundation, combined with decades of hands-on experience, has shaped her comprehensive and practical approach to care.
She began her career on the frontlines as a crisis social worker serving inner-city youth, a juvenile probation officer in Montgomery County, and a residential treatment specialist at St. Joseph Children’s Treatment Center in Dayton. These early experiences shaped her ability to meet people where they are—without judgment—and continue to influence her work today.
Throughout her career, Lynne has worked across the full continuum of care, including community mental health, home-based services, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and private practice. She has supported individuals and families through a wide range of challenges, utilizing strong clinical assessment, diagnostic expertise, and individualized treatment planning to guide care that is both thoughtful and effective.
Lynne is known for her ability to quickly build rapport, understand complex clinical presentations, and develop practical, personalized strategies that lead to real progress. Her work reflects a balance of clinical depth and approachability, helping clients feel understood while also moving forward in meaningful ways.
In addition to her clinical work, Lynne has held leadership roles including Director of Mental Health, Director of Geriatric Psychiatry, and Director of Clinical Assessment and Referral. In these roles, she led multidisciplinary teams, developed high-quality clinical programs, and improved access to care within complex healthcare systems. This experience allows her to bring both clinical precision and a broader systems perspective to the care she provides.
Lynne has also contributed to bariatric programs within major hospital systems in the Dayton area, supporting patients through complex behavioral and medical change. She brings a strong understanding of the connection between mental and physical health and the importance of treating the whole person.
As the Founder and Owner of Midwest Counseling Centers of Ohio, Lynne has built a respected, multi-provider practice known for ethical care, strong clinical standards, and a commitment to the community. The practice provides therapy, mental health medication management, and psychiatric services, and has recently launched a Certified Spravato® Clinic for individuals experiencing treatment-resistant depression, offering advanced options for those who have not responded to traditional approaches.
Her goal is simple: to provide a space where individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
